Donner Summit Rentals |
 Our cabin is located near Soda Springs, California, on Donner Summit. It is located very near great ski areas, including Sugar Bowl, Donner Ski Ranch, Boreal Mountain Resort, Soda Springs Ski Area, and Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Resort, and is a short drive away from Squaw Valley, Northstar, and Alpine Meadows. It is located just off Interstate 80, 90 miles east of Sacramento, California and 40 miles west of Reno, Nevada.

Back of Ice Lakes Lodge from owners beach. Our cabin is available for rental primarily during the ski season, from December 1 through Easter, however other dates may also be available. It will easily accommodate 2 families. We have 4 bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths. The cabin sleeps 10 to 12 people, and has a fully equipped kitchen. We have 2 rooms with king-size beds, one room with a queen-size bed, 1 room with 4 twins (a bunk and a daybed with trundle), and the loft has a double futon. WeatherDonner Summit is reputed to have the heaviest annual snowfall of any place in North America. In the winter, weather is always an issue. Always carry chains with you--they are frequently required.
Things to DoLake Tahoe Music Festival
2007 marks the 25th anniversary of the Lake Tahoe Summer Music Festival, as they present the "SEASON OF CLASSICS." Long known for presenting the finest classical music at Lake Tahoe, this Anniversary Season promises to truly be a "Season of Classics": Classic Beethoven, Classic Jazz, Classic Broadway, Classic Rock, and more. The Season will open with the annual Gala at a private residence on the West Shore on July 19th, followed by a long-standing, traditional concert performed at Tahoe Donner Golf Range, another at West End Beach of Donner Lake and five exciting concerts at Homewood, including the Finale on August 4th.
