This began as an obsession when I saw him on Oprah's show, one on which she showcased remarkable children and young adults. I had just seen him on two episodes of Ally McBeal during the show's last season, but didn't know who I was listening to. In case you haven't yet heard (is this possible?), Josh Groban is a now-26-year-old popular/classical singer (a la Andrea Bocelli, except that he's a baritone) who has, I think, one of the nicest voices I've heard in years. After I saw him on Oprah, I watched while he sang at the closing ceremonies of the Olympics with Charlotte Church. It then seemed that no matter where I turned, he was everywhere. I bought his CD, I bought the DVD to his "Great Performances" (already!) PBS special, I bought the book of sheet music, and I think I became a certified (or certifiable) groupie. My husband has thought I'm a little nutty, but I listen to Josh's music all the time. If you like classical/popular crossovers, I think you will like this too.
